In April of 2002, a gathering of local musicians and artists began
meeting once a week in downtown Orlando, FL. A year later,
reflections from some of those who participated,
chronicle the major changes that took place during their activity,
throughout, and continuing past the dissolving of the weekly gathering.
The impact of their achievements is still exemplified today by earning
a living expressing their art - through music, live performances,
community open-mic shows, and the consignment shop where it all
first took place - Culture Mart.
The commentary expressed by these individuals relates the effects
the activism of this group has had on their local community,
the hip-hop music scene, each other and themselves.
Life is a journey. In order to see the end of the road.... you must travel.
